During our Tuscan cooking workshops, the house is dedicated to our cooking class participants. Country elegance and charm, log-fires, comfy sitting rooms, beams, two kitchens and larders, inside; secluded salt-water swimming pool, terraces for candlelit dining, and naturally planted garden with a river running alongside, outside, ensure relaxed moments bewteen cooking.

Sometimes with a single family\friends group, some members prefer to relax and explore the surrounding countryside, leaving other members to prepare the Tuscan recipes they will later sample. Whether you wish to concentrate wholeheartedly on hands-on learning to prepare traditional Tuscan recipes or whether you wish to fit a cooking course into a family holiday in Tuscany, we are happy to work with your requirements.

Three ensuite double bedrooms are available at Il Mulino all furnished with antiques, down pillows and antique linen sheets.

The rest of the house with its eclectic mix of English and Italian antiques and engravings, is dedicated to relaxing: Rooms to read, to reflect, to listen to music and of course to food, cooking and dining. Inside and out. Covered terraces, romantic informal garden and totally private salt-water swimming pool for warmer days; roaring log fires and beamed ceilings for cooler. The river running alongside the garden does the rest.

We like to ease our guests into the day with a home-made breakfast including our own organic sourdough ancient grain bread and walk-around-the-garden jams.
